Can't move/place objects after dowloading a lot from the gallery

After I download a lot from the gallery and go to the lot in build mode, I can't move, add, or delete any objects or flooring/wallpaper etc. I can grab an object with my cursor, but it gets stuck and I can't let go of the object. I have disabled custom content and script mods from the menu and also moved my entire Mods folder out of the Sims 4 folder. I have deleted all the cache files and tried to repair the game but nothing works. The problem occurs also on brand new saves. I noticed the issue after the newest patch update:

If I close the game and go to the lot again, I can move objects normally.
