Can't Use Vacation Days

My sim has 9 vacation days to use, but the option to use a vacation day is not on the business tab on the phone. Another thread suggested to delete the localthumbcache.package in the Sims 4 folder (located here: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4), but that did not work. I do not have mods. I've restarted the game and my PC and have no luck with this issue.
