CAS traits nots working

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the game
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Hello! I just got the Sims 4 about a month ago and everything was working perfectly! Then the newest patch got released and the bug began, before I even updated my game. Every time I try to create or edit an existing sim (infants to elders), none of the traits will show up. Like every time I click on the little question mark to choose a trait, that part of the screen stays blank. Aspirations, likes and dislikes all still work just fine, It's only the traits menu itself that seems to be bugged out. I do have cc and mods, but they all work fine and are all updated. I even tried removing all of my mods from my Sims 4 folder so they weren't in the game anymore, then playtesting. But that didn't fix anything either. I also ended up updating the game and even trying to repair it on Steam. But sadly that did nothing. I have no clue what to do about this and it's very frustrating because I had a save where I was aging up a newborn to be an infant, and because I couldn't choose the trait I couldn't move forward and press the checkmark to continue playing, so I had to force quit the Sims 4 and lost all of my progress with even having the child, because I forgot to save lol. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here! ☹️

Sadly I tried this already once before, but I tried it again last night and nothing was fixed. The traits menu is still disappearing and the only difference to the game is that I didn't have my old save files or cc currently in the game. :'(

@ryesunnix What platform are you on ? PC or Mac ?

@mariaa1902 Have you tried removing your mods/cc ?

Yes I have tried to remove my mods. Still doesn't work.

Hello, I'm having the same problem. I've tried restarting a new game without mod, but the select traits panel still doesn't appear. Please help me ☹️
