changing a played sim into an unplayed sim

Does anyone know if you can change a played sim into an unplayed sim? I have some houses that I don't want to age up until I play them but I have some others that I would love to continue ageing up. Is there a way to change just those houses into unplayed?

EI

So my house I'm playing one of the kids is old enough to grow  up, so I move her out. I play her long enough to get her married and job set up. Now though I'd like to just let her age up like normal as I don't plan to play her again, but I don't want my other played houses to start ageing up.

  • Open the household in Manage Worlds under "More" using the menu buttons in the lower right of the screen. In the family pportrait there should be a clear Plumbob in ln the bottom left corner. Click it and it to make the household unplayed.

  • Yes, you should be able to do so via Manage Household. Just click on the icon that says it's a played Sim to make him unplayed.

  • It's important to note that any unplayed households that are not housed on a lot are at risk for culling when they are marked as unplayed. That means 'Unplayed' and 'Not in world' Sims can be deleted/removed autonomously from the game, if you should reach max population (180 Sims?). This is actually more of a danger than people think because the game continuously generates unnecessary and hidden characters. The only way to prevent is culling is with mods or by keeping all of your favorite Sims moved into lots, or 'Mark as Played.'

@nonhoideee Just enter the family then go back out. This will make him played again.

Not sure if taking the Sims to CAS also still makes them played
