Child/Animal Adoption Centers

They should add a feature where, when you adopt a child or an animal, you should be able to go to the adoption agency location, like the orphanage or the pound, and interact with the new sims you’d like to adopt first. That’s a huge part of the experience.

This would be great with pets, especially if you could own the pet store or shelter. You could be an animal breeder and breed dogs, cats, and horses and adopt them out.

Also - PLEASE add pet birds! I have a parrot, a conure, and 4 budgies and I’d LOVE to make them in the game! They live longer than most pets and form very strong bonds with their owners, and they’re so much fun!

  • @Noodilific I've had a go at creating animal shelters. It's worked to varying degrees.

I create a large lot and make it a Dog or Cat Hangout and make enough space and amenities for strays to make themselves at home. The owner will have the vet skill and I add a small, private vet's office on site. Then when I switch households, my next Sims visit the lot and adopt a stray. I've got one for dogs in the gallery called Brindleton Bay Kennels. I place it on the Hounds Head lot as it's huge. If there aren't any dogs on the lot, my Sim heads to the beach and rescues one instead.

I do have one for cats too, by the docks because that's a good place for cats in the evening especially. It's called Calico Cottage.

I'd love parrots in the game. We had a parrot on a perch in Sims Bustin Out and it seems like it would be such an easy thing to add.
