I cannot get my child sims to interact with visiting trick or treaters. It is set as a holiday goal and it shows on my child's goals, saying they love it BECAUSE they're a child and yet when someone visits there are no trick or treat social options when they click on them. Older sims in the same household have the options as expected
ellierachael86 Hello! Unfortunately, only the older sims can "trick" or "treat" visiting teen and child sims. The only way I know to complete the holiday goal for child sims is to have them give a gift (in the Friendly > Affection menu) or have another sim in the household give a gift to the child sims. Gifts can be purchased through the phone if needed. It takes two or three gifts for the goal to complete. This is a huge disappointment for me and I really wish the team would add interactions for child sims. There should definitely be a way for kids to participate in trick-or-treating! When I have a household with child sims, I'd much rather have the household go around the neighborhood for this tradition. Even though the options we currently have are not what I would prefer, at least there's a workaround. I hope this helps you 😊
