College graduate is placed in entry level position
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.58.69.120
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have two graduates from Foxbury. Both graduated with honors and Magna. When one applied for a job in in his field he started at level 7 in that field, as I expected. The second sim (the one I am posting about here) got his degree in Physics. I would like him to work in a job in Engineering, as I would like him to work in the Mechanical Engineer Branch of that career. According to this Carl's guide, my graduate should enter this career at Level 7 ("Engineer Career: Mechanical Engineer Branch Level 7") https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/expansionpacks/discoveruniversity/degrees/physics.php Even if that Carl's guide is not completely accurate, I did not expect this... My sim was placed at the entry level position of "Support Technician" - though I guess his 'benefit' is that he gets $33/ vs $28? https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/careers/discoveruniversity/engineer/
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim graduate with a Physics degree and have them take a job in the Engineering career.
What happens when the bug occurs? The graduate is placed in an entry level position rather than enjoying an advanced placement in that career due to his college degree.
What do you expect to see? I expected the college graduate to enjoy an advanced placement in his career due to his college degree.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
- @SheriGR You have to join the Mechanical Engineer branch directly
