Create sim to interact in same game but 2 households

Is it possible to create a sim  for a different household in city living and have them move in to an apartment and let them be while you play with your original household. would they be able to interact or would it just be 2 separate games

    Yes that is possible any household you place in the same game but are not currently being controlled by you will be controlled by the AI.
