Custom relationship labels and relationship culling

Does anyone know if relationships with sims that have a custom relationship label are culled like most other relationships?? I’m hoping 🤞🤞🤞 that these labels are a way to “save” relationships but I haven’t been able to confirm this in my game yet. Basically, has anyone added a custom relationship label, then later noticed that the relationship was culled?
