I lost the dad to my sims family which is quite large. I have the sims id but when I try to summon sim he does not appear. I have tried many work around and nothing has fixed this problem. He still calls on the phone but I can not find him anywhere in the game or other households. His tombstone is also blanked. Doe anyone know how to recover this sim?
He died while I was playing another household. Yes I do. And no there are no options just reset, destroy, and read. It’s hasn’t been 90 days since it happened. It happened yesterday right before we lost power from storms. When I got back on the game he was gone from everywhere but the family tree. The sims id pops up when I look it up but he just won’t appear on any lot when summoned. I have looked up many work arounds and nothing has solved the issue.
KatyBaby1990 How did you lose the dad? Did he die as a played sim while you were playing the household? Did he die while you were not playing him? Do you have Life and Death? And are there any options on the urn/tombstones when you click on it?
The phone calls indicate he is still in your save atm but once a sim dies, the dead sim will be culled in in 90 in game days or so. When that happens, you need to be quick about moving the ghost into a household, so they won't get culled. You should be able to call him using a sim he was friends with. Look in the relationship panel for him and see what options are. Life and Death gave us the option to ask a ghost on a date so have the mom make the call. Once on the lot, he can be asked or invited to join the household. Once that is done, you can resurrect him if you want to. There should also be a summon option on the urn/tombstone that will call the ghost to the lot as well.
