Is there a fix yet for gender glitch?
I think it started with Lovestruck. It happens on my pc and Playstation 5. When my sim makes matches on Cupid's Corner, the date will show up sometimes as the opposite gender but wearing the original gender clothing. Also sometimes the sims will age to Adult and then to Elder overnight (one Sim day). This is happening in households where the single sim has a parent or grandparent and no other family members. It also happens if the sim is a single parent themselves. When I go back to Cupid's Corner, they show up as young adult and the correct original gender. I keep trying to find ways to stop this from happening, but after a few months, no luck. Hopefully, this gets through to the game designers so they can fix it. I love the dating app feature and when it works it enriches the game a lot. I have no mods and I don't play with testing cheats enabled. So I will keep brainstorming to see if I can figure what might be happening in the course of game play. (finger crossed).
Child Aspirations
I’ve been trying to select a child aspiration for my sim, but for some reason, only the Motor aspiration is showing up in Create-A-Sim, and none of the others are visible. I’m pretty sure there should be more options like Social or Mental, but they’re just not appearing. It’s kind of frustrating because I want to shape my child’s character, but I’m stuck with just one aspiration. I’m wondering if it’s a glitch, maybe caused by a mod or something, but I’m not sure how to fix it. I’ve tried restarting the game, but the issue still persists, and I’m starting to think it might be something deeper, like a corrupted save or an update problem.
Family tree in a new save
Hey! So I want to download the newest version of the Ultimate Save, however the last time I did that the family tree didn't recognize the previous Sims. I have my Sim- Veronica which is 4th gen., but in the in-game system it's the 2nd.... Anyone knows how to restore (if possible) and MOVE THE HOUSEHOLD WITH THE FAMILY TREE INTACT TO A NEW SAVE?
Fires!!
I have recently been having fire issues...all fireplaces in my home have been upgraded with both fire guard et autolight.....however since I started playing after this last update or so this is no longer keeping me from the chaos caused by fires starting around the fireplaces....sometimes the floor sometimes objects...almost always my rugs....just wanted to see if anyone else has been having this issue...also EA one other thing....you can but/use the sprinkler system but it only works in rooms with ceilings...I have a few rooms with fireplaces that have glass ceilings...keyword here being ceiling....however the games sprinkler system does not recognize this as an actual ceiling so no sprinklers deploy et that seems like something we could work on....one other thing...when objects like chairs et tables burn up they just change appearance et then you can replace....I know this is gonna sound kinda crazy...but what if we applied that same concept to the rugs....it's a chore et a half to clean up the ash piles et then go back to buybuild et get new ones....not major bugs/concerns but just thought I'd try sharing....been an avid simmer since sims.... have most DLC...sparing a handful or so kits...mainly the cas based kits I don't have....no mods or cc that isn't purchased through ea.....any update would be amazing....happy simming yall 😁
Sims builds wont load properly
I've been playing the Sims for just over a month and a half and know the controls well. I play on Xbox so I can't have mods, but for some reason my house on my favourite save won't delete properly, when it does and I replace it with the one I want that one doesn't load properly. I do use packs but the only one the house I picked actually uses is cottage living, and none of the comments on the gallery say it has mods or anything like that. I don't understand why the build has nothing outside, any windows or any indoor decorations, when its not like that on the photos. I can't tell whether my game is breaking or whether the person just uploaded it empty or smth. I made sure i chose furnished, so it makes no sense why it is empty.Gallery corrupt
I’ve been playing on the new MacBook laptop for a while and recently my gallery has been showing corrupted with the big x’s and not letting me download anything. I’ve cleared my saves and tray files , uninstalled the game, lowered the quality and have no mods. Is there anything I can do to fix this. Please ?????
High School "Exit" traits not saving to the Gallery
This issue is with the expansion pack, High School Years. I was saving a "fleshed out" sim character to the Gallery, testing it out before uploading it online (Gallery). The sim I made has the Valedictorian trait, meaning he is a graduated in Copperdale High School with as a valedictorian, or the highest honor, I suppose. I age him up to a Young Adult, have him go to the Foxbury Institute and graduate with a distinguished degree in Biology with high honors, then age him up to a fully grown Adult. Upon saving him with traits like the Valedictorian trait, I didn't think any of it. But when I load him to a different save from the local Gallery, I check his traits and the Valedictorian trait is missing. Almost every aspect of his progress in in-game life is saved except for two things: said trait, and his household funds being §50,000. I remember household funds catches upon saving the household to the Gallery, locally or online. So this might've broke somewhere down the line of many updates, and no one's noticed. But my concern is with his high school "exit" trait - it is how they're called in the codes - Valedictorian. I don't know if it also goes for the other exit traits like Graduated with Honors, Graduated High School Early, etc. My sim's Biology degree is saved in the household, his milestones, his skills, his career... except for this one trait and his original household funds reverting to §20,000 like a new household. Even the reward traits like Sickness Resistance from becoming level 8 in the Doctor (active) career from Get To Work is saved, his character value trait, Good Manners, and the Romantic Sage trait from Lovestruck is saved. But not his Valedictorian trait, which is odd to me. Has anyone gotten this issue before as well? Is it addressed somewhere, or no? I wish - hope - it was, even if many are "casual" players who wouldn't actually care for such a thing. And I hope this wouldn't be dismissed as well. I would ignore this if I weren't to always cheat every time I add him, and I plan to upload him online to the Gallery for everyone to add him as well. So this trait being missing would be kind of a bummer.Build/Buy Mode
I'm playing on a save that I've been using for months now. using a lot downloaded from the Gallery, when i edit a room or delete stairs, but most specifically edit a room, my gameplay controls freeze with the game still running. i cannot do anything with any of the tools, changing them doesn't fix it, alt tab does not function, saving, exiting and any other menu option does not respond, the game does not play when exiting to live mode and there is no crash log because the game is still running. the only solution out of this is to use control alt delete and force close the game by ending the task in task manager. I seriously need help here. I have reinstalled the game so far 3 times. no custom content at all. the lot is called Jade Mansion, for context.
Sims relationships jumps
My sims are constantly acting mean again. And if not mean their relationship levels are jumping from one extreme decline to hatred. And only way to counter lately is to involve relationship cheats. I have to manually manage their interactions. And even with this their friendship bar cut by half the moment they finish, and there's not mean interactions I selected for them. Am I the only one viewing this? I am playing on the Xbox Series S.
