Switching preferences doesn't undo disliked item
Didn't assign decor preferences, then my sim developed a dislike for an item in the house that actually aligns with their intended aesthetic. Switched all their decor preferences to liked, but my sim still gets enraged while sleeping. I don't know what the item is. How to I A) find out what item is causing this and B) get rid of the dislike? Is there a cheat? It would be cool to see a list of the items my sim likes and dislikes. I would also love to keep eco footprint without having to deal with my sim developing dislikes.
Recovering Households
My entire computer crashed and restarted and logged me out of EA and when I tried to restart up sims all my data was gone, and it asked me to if I wanted to restart and recover them and last time I had to do that it worked but this time all of my households are still gone. I even tried logging out and signing back in and trying to restart sims again. does anyone know how to get them back or am I out of luck?[FIXED BUG] Romantic interactions being interrupted in The Sims 4 (Vanilla)
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a fix I found after struggling with a weird bug in The Sims 4. Some of my couples (both with NPCs and playable Sims) were experiencing a glitch where romantic interactions like kissing, woohoo, flirting, etc. would start but get interrupted before finishing, with no clear reason. I tried everything — resetting the Sims, moving them out, adjusting needs, removing moodlets… nothing worked. But here’s what actually fixed it: > Make the couple break up, then get them back together. That seems easy and annoying, but after that, all romantic interactions worked normally again. I play completely vanilla (no mods or custom content). Hope this helps someone out there facing the same issue!
Family Trees
I hope this post is not closed down because it is not a bug report but I am looking to engage other players on what they do regarding an issue I have found in the game. I play rotationally and have been excited to create extended family relationships across many sims in my game (siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc). Obviously I cannot keep them all in one household to retain their relationships (and this doesn't always work anyway). As I've played, I have been forced by updates to the game and various bugs to restart my save game file many times. This has required me to use MCCC to try to recreate and maintain family relationships among my many sims when I transfer them to a new save. Trying to do this without mods is very often impossible. I find myself constantly chasing my tail as relationships break, spouses become siblings, the relationships I set up just randomly change to other random relationships (most recently one sim's parents became her husband's parents instead when I tried to add her sister to the game and to the family). As soon as it seems I've got everything set up right, the family tree breaks somewhere else. My frustration with this is, of course, immense. But that is not what this post is about. I'm asking, those of you who may experience this issue or try to play extended families - what do you do? Do you just keep track of family relationships outside of the game and just pretend in the game, ignoring the in-game family tree altogether? Do you just give up having extended family? I'm at the point of just not bothering with family or maybe just not playing the sims 4 at all anymore (again frustration). I’ve been having this issue since the last two updates. I’ve tried everything I repaired the game, i uninstalled, removed all the mods I use and I was still was having the problem I just recently tried replacing the lot it worked for a while but when I leave and try to come back I get stuck again. I also tried a new game save and start over I WAS STILL STUCK and it was a base game lot somebody please help is it just me?
