How large is your biggest save file?
Hello, The recent problems with save files make me think about what actually a "large save file" means. In the latest EA article Save File Investigation Recap and Early 2026 Plans | EA Forums - 12987702 they wrote "We’ve found compelling evidence that some cases of missing Lots or disappearing houses may be caused by what we call a Protobuf Overflow - a situation where Lot or save data grows so large it hits its storage limit." How large is too large? My current biggest save file is about 155 000KB. I also remember I've had save files about 230 000KB or even bigger back in 2018. I'm having issues when in my sims game where if my sim gets abducted my game freezes, this also happens when my sim becomes pregnant with an alien and gives birth to an alien. My game will crash when I go into CAS to create or edit an alien. I've repaired the game a few times, cleared my cache, restarted the sims, uninstalled the game and I have taken out my mods and cc to see if thats conflicting but its not. I am also having problems when my sims game goes into window mode and I put it on fullscreen again there's a white screen and its stuck on my laptop so I have to restart my laptop and open the sims 4 up again.Issue with outfits with sim.
I edited a sims outfits and now most of her outfits have become the same outfits as her old ones but if I go into create a sim all the outfits I selected are there but when playing her it’s one outfit across all of them. Anyone know how to fix or having the same issue in the photo attached is the glitch I’m having with the outfits. None of those outfits is Whay I’ve given my sim
Angela Pleasant got a call that she died
How is this situation possible? I was playing the Pleasant family and Angela got a call from the Reaper saying they were sorry for her loss of her friend. When I looked in her relationship bar the only deceased sim on the list was HER. I mean somehow there was a second version of her running around in the game and then it had died. Now the living one is very sad. I can't invite the other one over on the phone or computer and nobody else in the family apparently ever ran into this doppleganger so they have no idea why she is so sad. The Sims is such a weird game (although I'm sure this kind of thing is just a glitch and not intended to happen). I hope in a couple of days she'll get over this "death"...never liked the whole grief scenario they put in the game.
What is wrong with this household?
For context: In Fall '23, I created a household consisting of two female Sims. They were married from the start, and both have the loyal trait. They are both family-oriented. This was the second household I added to this save, a couple of months before Lovestruck was released. However, from the very beginning, both had this inclination to flirt with other Sims - which I didn't let them do. One of them accidentally complimented another Sim on their clothes, but that was just the one time, and I have avoided similar actions ever since. Whenever these two interacted, both had the dialogue option "confess betrayal" even though nothing had happened. I tried to ignore this, though it really started to annoy me after a while. I have autonomy on, and at some point, I disabled neighbourhood stories for all my played households. I can't remember the exact date, though, but it's been a while. When Lovestruck came out, things got even more annoying with this household because whenever I didn't play with them, they showed up somewhere in the world stargazing with someone else. One of them even took off to stargaze with someone else while I was playing with them. I disabled attraction so they wouldn't be attracted to other Sims but only to each other. Romance bars are full. I disabled the option to have Sims from my gallery show up on the dating app because at one point, the game duplicated one of them and put her clone on Sulani while the other one showed up on the dating app. Fun fact: the game did this only with these two. Nothing worked. By now, they are both getting options to hit on their best friends, ask random Sims to enter a woohoo partnership, flirt with pretty much everybody... and just now I found out that one of them got married to an NPC Sim somewhere along the way. I have absolutely no idea when, how or why this happened. I didn't even know it was possible for a Sim to have two spouses, and I have no idea who this NPC Sim even is because I don't pay attention to random townies. Something about this household is SO broken, and I can't figure out what it is. This is pretty much the only household that's behaving completely illogically, and not just when it comes to romance. Recently, I sent both of them to the Realm of Magic to discard their magical powers; they were not honing and using those anyway, so I figured they no longer need them. However, one of them can still use her broomstick for flying, even though her magical abilities are gone and the broomstick is no longer in her inventory. At this point, I am so annoyed with this household that I hardly ever play with them at all, yet I don't want to abandon them completely because they are part of the world and the storytelling I created over the past years (the save's turning 3 in a couple of months). If anybody has any idea where these problems might come from and how to solve them, I'd be really grateful. Especially for a solution to the stupid "oh no, I cheated even though I didn't do anything"-bit. Granted, the one who got married to a second Sim off-screen DID cheat, after all, but like I said, the fretting has been there right from the start for both her and her real wife. Since my save is growing and I keep adding households, these two will very likely end up sharing a Sim week with another household which will minimize the annoyance for me. Still, I'd really like to get to the bottom of this. Oh, and I don't use any mods or CC. I play plain vanilla, verify the files regularly and clear the EA app's cache.
Hired Help
I can't stand that if I hire a ranch hand for my family, they won't stay OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE. To which I often end up firing them even when I set specific locks within the household. Secondly, WHYYYYYY does hired help keep randomly getting swapped out? I spent time in CAS updating Juelz, and now randomly after months of gameplay and having JUST aged up and dressed the latest family addition (infant), I all of a sudden have a new Bulter named Angelo. Honestly, stuff like this really pisses me off! What's the fix?!Help negative funds
Earlier i uploaded a house from the gallery, refurnished it and spent a couple hours on my sim just to get to this screen, showing i have negative funds which is correct. The only thing i can afford to do is bulldoze it, and on this screen i cant do ctrl+shift+c. I could exit out but i have yet to save this sim to my library and i don’t know if it will delete her. HELP appreciated and pic attached if needed
Autonomous Introduction Hug Glitch
Hey i HAVE to know because its driving me crazy. Has anyone else had the introduction hug glitch consistently for a couple months now. Like the hug interaction is fine but the auto one they do when they greet sims is does the outstretched broken arms glitch. Yes i have mods but none of them should be doing this, i dont have any poses and im not using any animations either.
