Debug Differences

I've used the debug option plenty in Sims 4, but with the update that extended the amount of items one could find, I saw so many repeats of landscaping plants. Is there anything particularly different between the buy mode version and the debug one outside of different sizes and one actually requiring purchase while the other is "free"? Since I've seen videos noting Sims can walk through them, does that mean they require less loading since they do not seem to count as solid objects? *Shrugs.* 'Just a curiosity that entered my addled brain.

Are you referring to the differences between the debug items (bb.showhiddenobjects) and the world items that were opened up in a patch last year (bb.showliveeditobjects)?

@Bluebellflora Ah, yes... that as you mentioned. Since the original debug did well for clutter, they actually took up space on a an object. The world items seem to work differently and lack a solid presence. Most of plants seem to be things that can be found in build mode anyway, even. So I wondered why this is, if that effects loading and other little differences I might have not considered.
'Sorry for not being more... precise earlier? My brain is *still* recovering from... being very unwell.

I don't see how enabling both sets of hidden objects would affect loading other than the time to scroll through and render the enormous catalogue of items you've opened up and even then it would be minimal.

You're right about some of the world items not seeming to have a footprint in the game so the sim can walk through them. I seem to remember the guru mentioning this in the patch notes and that the user should be aware of apparent glitches.
