Dirty surroundings moodlet showing up in a clean room

All four of my sims (two adults and two children, none of which have the neat trait) receive the dirty surroundings moodlet when in the living room but there is nothing dirty anywhere in the room. I ...

  • do you have a pressure cooker or any other small appliances in the room ?
  • Have you check any aquariums you might have for dead fish ?
  • What platform are you playing on ?

    Yes, I checked every appliance and even deleted every single item (appliances included) in the room and replaced it with a new version in case something was registering as dirty but couldn't be cleaned.

     There are no aquariums in the room.

    I am on PC.

      The pressure cooker has a general issue. Have you tried not replacing them ?

      What happens if you just delete all the furniture (on a backup of your save) ?
