  • @snow-clowds  You certainly need some kind of screen to play Sims 4, otherwise how would you see the game?  But if you have a laptop, you don't need a separate monitor; the built-in screen will do just fine.  The screen you use doesn't actually have much of an effect on the quality of your in-game graphics, other than the resolution you happen to be using.  The determining factor is the graphics card or chip.

If your computer meets the minimum requirements but only barely, then you will likely be able to play any packs you want, but probably only on lower graphics settings.  The farther above the minimum reqs you get, the higher the settings you can use, roughly speaking.  Some of this will also depend on your playstyle and whether you add custom content as well.

If you're not sure how your computer might handle Sims 4, it's a good idea to buy only the base game and maybe a couple of packs, then add content slowly and see how it goes.  If you download an expansion and notice the game is running a little slower than before, or you find you need to turn down a graphics setting or two, it might not be a good idea to install any more EPs.  Game and stuff packs should be fine.
