@simsplayer818 I checked all three guys she asked and they were all single, "exploring," and interested in Woohoo with both Male and Female sims (which seems to be the default for pre-existing townies in my game). So the preferences should be fine. When my sim was turned down, I didn't get a popup saying the other sim isn't interested in Woohoo with her - all I see is an embarrassed moodlet. When I've had other sims flirt with someone where there was a preferences mismatch, I got a popup saying the other sim wasn't interested in sims of their type. These I edited in CAS and it was fine.

@shinjitenoyami I think there are a few teething problems for them to sort out with dating.
Creating your own townies and then introducing them to your Sim certainly makes it lot easier. I used to find the game overly flirty. At events and public gatherings all the interactions were either mean or inappropriately flirty but there has maybe been a bit of an over correction here.
