Does changing the game language mess up anything?

For a while I've been learning another language and a thing I like to do is change the language of games I often play to the language I am learning so that I can still pick up things without sitting down with my language app to take a lesson- which is sometimes a drag.

So my questions are-

1) how do I change the language of my sims 4 game?

2) will changing the language mess up anything? For example, corrupt the game or names of sims (the language I'd like to change it to uses a different alphabet)?

    @SianAF148

    Rightclick the game in Origin and select Game Properties. On the Advanced tab you can select any of the languages that are supported where you are. And it will not mess up anything to change between available languages.

  • @SianAF148 Be aware that some languages make their own localized user folder.

    It is possible that your old games don't show up after changing the language.

    If that happens, you need to move the old files from the old user folder (for example english: The Sims 4) to the new one (for example German: Die Sims 4).

    This is not true for all languages though so just something you need to be aware of.

    When I take that route to change the language, the only option available is English. Is there anyway to allow for other languages to show up?

    @SianAF148 If that's all you see, then you have a one language version so there's probably not much you can do. You can try support if they can do something.
