Doors and gates will not stay locked

I am having an issue where the doors and gates will not stay locked.

example: I made a chicken coop the gate will not stay locked for the chickens. if i lock it, it will lock but, if i leave the lot or go to work or save the game and come back later, The gate is unlocked and the chickens all run out or are already out when the game loads.

Its the same for the house doors I lock it for everyone but my sim. My sim leave the lot or the sim goes to work and the door becomes unlocked and chickens, cats dogs, horses, other unrelated sims all come inside.

How to I fix this?

    to be sure, they show as unlocked when you come back ? It's not a matter of them ignoring the locks ?

    Also do you use any mods/cc ?

    The doors say they are unlocked when I come back.

    I'm not sure what you mean by ignoring the locks?

    I do not know what mods or cc are?

    So, the answer to that question has to be no?

    by ignore I mean that they just go through the doors/gates anyways although they still show as locked properly.

    Trying to find an older report for this to merge it. I don't think there's any solutions.
