Is anyone else disliking this pack?? I kinda like the build items but the career is driving me insane!!
The clients (2,3,4 or 5 of them) tell you they like violin and baking (eh??) and dislike boho and storytelling decor , then expect you to decorate a room. Then they complain ‘it’s not what l asked for’. Wtf!!!
l’ve tried asking tons of questions but still fail miserably. Anyone got any hints??
Read the description of the gig carefully.
If you post before and after pictures of a failed gig (they are in you screenshots folder) the description of the gig plus likes/dislikes it will be possible to give more specific hints. But generally if in doubt use mainly items from the pack.
@liseylooloo In addition to what @jpkarlsen said, is that sometimes one person can like a color but another in the household hate it. (This is true in real life as well! 😅) Also, if any client hates a décor style or color, you can always check it in the Filter setting in Build & Buy Mode , located on the right of the screen above the pictures of the items. That way if you want to use a certain item, you can check to make sure that it isn't one of the things that you know they hate! 🤨
Also, while it is often good to use items from the Dream Home Decorator pack, beware of anyone hating Mid Century décor or Cosmolux décor, as most of the items are classified as Mid Century, and quite a few items in the DHD pack are classified as Cosmolux. In those cases don't use the DHD pack items unless it is an item that isn't tagged as Mid Century or Cosmolux.
Also, @jpkarlsen has noticed before that you can't really rely on clutter objects to make a room count as a certain style or color. If your furniture items are mostly French Country, adding a bunch of Modern clutter items won't make the room suddenly become Modern. 😉 I tried to do that and I failed miserably! 😃 I actually made one of the clients run out of the house crying! 😱🤣
Finally, don't take it too seriously and just have fun with it. 😉 Even my failure was a learning opportunity, and I still enjoyed doing it. 🥳 And sometimes our biggest mistakes in the Sims make for the best stories! 🤣🥰
