@SheriGR I have the same issue and I'm mildly infuriated because i have one second floor exterior corner above a flat side of the bottom floor, so the bottom column is straight but the one directly above it is sideways :/

If you're not opposed to using Mods, there is a mod by TwistedMexi which will enable you to rotate this to your desired effect.
