Hi. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem but after my sim collects the eggs from the chicken coop, I send him to cook some food with the eggs but the 'eggs' part of the recipe is greyed out and it says that I don't have any eggs either in the fridge or my sim's inventory and I have to sell the eggs before they spoil. Funny thing is, the Golden and Obsidian eggs don't have this problem and I'm not sure if this is a bug. I would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Yes, the fresh ingredients only option is checked too. All other options for the expansions + aging are enabled.
Have you ticked the option to always use fresh ingredients?
I'm having the same problem. I have 6 non-spoiled, non-hatchable eggs: 3 normal, 1 orange, 1 blue, 1 obsidian. Got them from my coop in the last day. No matter what I cook, the eggs aren't being used in the recipe. But the other food I have in stock will. I've split the eggs between the fridge and my personal inventory in the hopes at least one of them somewhere will be used, but nothing. I have no mods and don't have the Simple Living trait on the lot. I have all expansions except werewolf, high school and laundry.
Has anyone else experienced this? I was so looking forward to eating the obsidian egg 🙂
Hi there - haven't heard of this issue before but I have a few ideas that you can maybe try.
Are any of the eggs spoiled? Make sure they are ALL still fresh when you try to use them.
Have you tried putting the eggs into the fridge first, and then trying to make the recipe? Double check the type of eggs the recipe needs and the type of eggs in your sim's inventory. Which recipe(s) does this happen with?
Also, do you have any mods installed? It's possible that that could be the problem, especially if there's a mod that adds a new type of egg into the game.
