ERROR 102
keep getting error code 102. I've uninstalled the game, deleted the app and even removed my mods folder and nothing helps. it's getting annoying ASL!

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.
If that is the case, please upload them to a new post in this thread.
Please either create a .rar file to upload or copy/paste the content into your post.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.
Please also post the full error code you're getting. - @crinrict , i have last exception files in my folder. but how do i go about putting it into a .rar file to post for troubleshooting? im going to try that now
- @Toldyousew You need winrar or 7z to do it. You can also just copy/paste the content to a post.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I found some last exception files, deleted them, then tried to launch the game and found a new one. I uploaded it into my googledrive. If you can help me, I would REALLY appreciate it.

When in my google drive, I chose “upload new file” and then selected the last exception file. It looks like it’s just a bunch of words/coding. Then you can make the file public and share the link here!
I was able to figure out that my game wasn’t launching because of an outdated mod. I removed all of my mods and began to add them back in little by little + opening the game to see if it was working to find the bad one. Very tedious, but I’m able to play now.

Please remove all your mods/cc and test without them
@Toldyousew There's several ways to do it. The easiest is just to open the file with a text editor and then copy the content and paste to a post.
You can't upload the txt file as that contains XML which is prohibited to upload. It seems extremely likely that the error codes nowadays are mostly connected to events somehow. I find that usually is messing things up ingame for me. I dared have a scientist - but he had to retire because I couldn't count on it working. High School events have llama symbol and can't even trigger/work the half-way-ish way they work with the llama symbol issue if there's another holiday event simultaneously. Then the sim got stuck on the lot and you get error codes when trying to switch lot or getting out of there. I thought it was connected to corrupt save file, but that's not feeling likely atm. It must be event connected. This last year sometime events got very messed up and it's been error:y since then. Somewhere it said active careers are risky - well of course, since the events if they are to work.. two generations up in the household there was a detective - that must've been the big issue that led me to think that save was unsaveable. Now I'm in a completely new one and still get these errors, often connected to some event it seems. This really has to get fixed since events are used for so many enriching situations ingame.
