    Have you already tested the game with the complete mods folder moved to the desktop and deleted localthumbcache.package in your user folder?

    I actually just solved it and did similar to what you said so thank you! I first removed the whole mods folder which got the game working again and then chose maybe 6-7 script mods to put back in which brought the exact problem back. So I removed two mods that looked sketchy, tried again and it worked this time, put all the remaining mods back in and it still worked so problem solved! 🙂
