Family members coming home when landlord family member goes to another unit

I’ve been encountering this problem in For Rent. For context, there’s man and woman who are married, and the man’s teen daughter from a previous marriage. I set it up so the man has a job as a teacher, but the woman is serving as the building’s true landlord. She’s a Spellcaster that makes it flawlessly easy.  (off topic, but wish, I really wish when they're fully realized as a spell caster, that you could do something with the skill points, simoleons, etc) When the Man and Teenage daughter go to work and school, I want to have the woman go do maintenance and inspections in the units to help bring up the properties rating. It doesn’t matter if I click on the door and say “Visit Unit” or go into the owned properties and select the unit that way, the man and daughter come home early from work and school.
