"Fill Empty Homes" function - Do unplayed Sims redecorate?

Hey guys!

I was wondering whether unplayed Sims redecorate once they move into an empty lot. I evicted a few to be able to move my played family in, and I was wondering whether they would have changed any of the furniture inside, or whether the house will still be decorated the way it originally was. I noticed that the overall value of the house decreased a bit in comparison to the beginning, but maybe that's just a function of the house having been lived in?
