AL40491 I suggest you try resetting your user folder. All you need to do is rename "The Sims4" folder or move it out of the game path. Then start the game. A new one will be created. After you go through making the sim and placing them, enter the lot and test to see if it is still happening. If not, them save and quit. Next step is to move or copy your saves, tray and mods folder from the old folder to the new one. If you want to save the screenshots, then move that folder too. And if you use any overrides, then the configoverride folder too. Same with the video and custom music folders.
If that doesn't work, then try a game repair. Or a full uninstall/reinstall. If you have to do that, then the only thing left is that it's something in the save. Then you'll have to make a decision to either keep playing the save as it is or start a new one.
