As part of EA’s Positive Play Charter, The Sims 4 Gallery is switching from a profanity word list, which was very rigid and prone to becoming outdated over time as language evolves, to a more context-aware system that can be updated frequently without the need for game updates. This allows us to customize the experience to The Sims 4 allowing you the freedom to express yourself on your Gallery uploads.
While we have high expectations for this new technology on The Sims 4 Gallery to catch most violations, there may be cases that slip through the cracks or are detected and flagged when they shouldn’t be.
This is an invite to all Simmers to help improve accuracy, and make the Gallery a welcoming place for all, by providing your feedback via The Sims 4 Gallery Profanity Filter Feedback Survey.
The ability to report content in the Gallery to EA will remain and that process is unchanged. So while we appreciate your feedback here, please continue to play safe and report content when needed.

I am also experiencing the name bug - inoffensive names like Delores, Shaniqua, Trevor, Kimberly, etc. are preventing upload to the gallery. The she/her, they/them bug is also affecting me and I have pressed 'Me Too' in the thread about that.

I shouldn't really call it a name bug. It's technically having a problem with any random word in a sims description or a sims name or the household name.
If it doesn't target the sims name in CAS first and goes straight to claiming a word in the description is a "disallowed word" then it seemed like you could pretty much edit any word and be able to share. I did my workaround on the word traits (t_r_a_i_t_s) once instead of the sims name and it let me share my sim.
I had trouble once but that was because I didn't read the message properly and it was targeting the sims last name in CAS first (Not that it said last name, leaving me to figure it out through trial & error), and then it targeted it in the description and then again in the household name. It really hated the last name Burns.

Thank you, EA, for this update to the Gallery language filters. Hopefully this means we can finally upload Sims to the Public Gallery with the words "pregnant", "pregnancy", or versions of "impregnated" in their descriptions. I have always found it frustratingly odd that, while male sims have almost always been able to be impregnated by Aliens, uploading sims with direct reference to that condition (something that can be humorous depending upon the Sim) in their descriptions is not allowed. (Yup, I'm one of those Sim geeks that enjoys including humorous descriptions about the individual Sims and Sim families when I plan to upload them for sharing to the Public Gallery.)
