It is daylight, and gnomes are taking over my garden, blessing my plants, and leaving seed packets. My sim has already collected at least 40 or more seed packets and the dang gnomes just keep appear...

That could have been it. I just thought my game was bugging out or something. All I know is that the gnomes were leaving seed packets everywhere, which I sold them and brought 48000 simoleons to my household.
