[GRO] [S] Treehouse Doesn't Change To Match Season/Weather/Environment

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.397
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, All Game Pack (except ST:JTB) All Stuff Packs (except LPSP, SSP) All Kits (MMWK, FSK)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play in autumn/winter, notice how all the plants are red or dying or snow covered.
What happens when the bug occurs? The treehouse remains green all year round which really takes you out of the emearisen
What do you expect to see? It change to match the seasons like the other plants in this game
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

This occours on all varients of the tree house, built, unbuilt, slide, pole, lights etc. Even if I placed this in mount komarabi where it is fully snow covered, it dosent change

    Hi @gooochyeee,

    As the treehouse is labeled as a usable object, and not a tree, it wouldn't change with the seasons. However, I'll be happy to submit feedback to the team for different color swatches to match the seasons 🙂

    I'm afraid if The Sims team notice this report, the post will get tagged as By Design. That's because the treehouse is actually an object, not a real tree, so it will act like all the other tree-like objects in the game (e.g. the tree we got for preordering Cottage Living). A potential solution could be providing us with swatches so we could change the leaf color whenever we want but I'm afraid it will not happen because of the possible restrictions. One can only hope.

    @simminchillinYeah 2 or 3 extra swatches would be nice maybe a red one, dying one and snow covered one. I Hope this isn't marked as By design

    I would be very, very happy, if the treehouse would get a few other swatch-option to match the seasons. As soon as I learned that the tree is always summergreen with leaves, I knew that I would never use it. It just looks so out of place like a plastic tree.

    @MissLjupka There is a CC recolor on CurseForge, if you are open to using a mod. I can't post a link here, but just do a search for "Treehouse with swatches" on CurseForge and it should show up. Three color swatches -- green (spring/summer), yellow (autumn), and barren (winter). I wasn't a fan of bright green leaves all winter either, so I hope the EA team will add swatches like these in a future patch.

    @EA_Solaire It would also be great to have more styles to match other worlds, though I know that’s a lot more work 🙂
