Help with close-knit lifestyle / how to ask to be confidant?

One of my sims has the close-knit lifestyle and I wanted him to ask her wife to be his confidant but I don't know how to. Does anyone know how to find this interaction? Does it just show up randomly ...

Still haven't had any luck with this, I'd love to hear experiences from others too! Especially if you know how to do it but sharing your frustration will do as well! :D

It was an option that showed up in conversation for me, when I had become Best Friend with someone. I am not sure how it would show up otherwise. I hope this helps you
