Household Relationships Bug
I’m unable to assign parent/child relationships in Create-a-Sim when working with an adult Sim who already has their own family. When I try to add a new Sim as their parent, the only available relationship dropdown options are Household Member, Brother, and Partner. This happens whether I use “Play with Genetics → Create Parent” or if I add a completely new Sim from scratch. In both cases, the parent/child relationship options never appear and I can’t change the relationship beyond those three limited choices. It makes it impossible to create parents for my existing adult Sims, which breaks family tree building. Is there a fix for this? I am playing on PS5 so I don’t have any mods or custom content, my game is up to date as well as my console.
If this is a save you've already played, I think you'll need to be in full edit mode.
This is what I found for entering full edit mode on playstation, you'll need to do it in live mode before entering CAS.
Step 1: press the following buttons at the same time to open the cheats menu: L1, L2, R1, and R2
Step 2: type in “Testingcheats true” and press enter
Step 3: type in “cas.fulleditmode” and press enter
Step 4: exit the cheat menu by pressing circle
Step 5: hover your mouse over the sim you would like to edit. HOLD circle and PRESS x
Step 6: look for the button that says something along the lines of “Modify in CAS”
