Household Stuck Loading

I just got Sims 4 on my laptop a week ago. I don't have any mods installed, and I only have two packs on the game. So all in all, it typically runs really well, not even a little bit of lag. But today, I go and open up Sims. The application itself opens up fine, but as soon as I click to play my household it won't load. It's just forever stuck on the loading screen. I've let it go for about 20 minutes with no actual progress. The loading page is not frozen at all, the Sims icon keeps spinning, and the game tips keep rotating out. I don't have any other household, just this one. I've already tried repairing the game on origin, as well as clearing my cache, restarting my computer, and then repairing the game again. I've tried it with my computer internet off, and I've also tried turning off different settings in the game options, like the access to gallery setting. Nothing seems to be able to make my household work. I've tried loading in from both the continue button on the homepage, and the actual load button itself. When I click the load button, it will open manage worlds and run perfectly fine but as soon as I select my household and click the play button, it goes to the loading page and just loads forever. I've not experienced any crashes or anything, and it was running perfectly fine all of yesterday. I'm really hoping not to lose any of my data or saves. Thanks for the help!

  • Update, I went ahead and tried something different. I pulled up my household's load file and opened it, but before I jumped into their actual household to play I clicked on another household of just 1 sim. That was able to load up very easily. From there I was able to go back into manage worlds and hop into my own household, which actually worked! Dunno what kind of bug this is or anything... But I'm just glad I was able to get it to work! Any advice on how to prevent this from occurring again, or any ideas as to why it occurred would still be greatly appreciated. I do currently have my 3 sims living in a larger house so I might see about downgrading a bit to help with overall application performance. Once again, thanks for any help you might give!
