How do I place a picture on a wall?

I am wondering how to place pictures in the world on Xbox. Like putting it on the wall of the sim’s house. I keep seeing things saying to drag it out of the inventory onto where you want to put it, but I can’t drag it. Even when I use the cursor. Can someone help?
Hi there @BigCatTalking you use the X button to select a painting in the personal inventory, it should then leave the inventory as you hold it and you can drag it to the wall and place it. See attached image.
For photos you do the same to place on a wall, or a shelf, or into a photo frame.
You can do this with just about anything in your personal inventory, with the exception of earbuds and snowy escape remedies and probably something else I've forgotten. It's a good way to use collectables and treasures too and place harvestables for planting. To place it back in the inventory just double click X. You can also drag the item to another Sim's inventory by dragging it over to them until they are highlighted green and then let go of it.
So if you have any problems placing a picture and you think the X drag function isn't working, I'd try using it on other items to see if you can place them. If not, pop a reply on here.
