How do I put stairs on a platform? I’m trying to make a deck without using the deck builder
Just to clarify, I’ve tried using decks but still couldn’t place stairs. Is there a dlc that I have to buy? Or is it in the base game?

Even if you don't have the DLC, the base game has stairs. Are you trying to install them at a height, for example, in the part A in the image below?
If you build that indoors, you may not be able to install them if they are positioned to cross a wall or a roof on an upper floor.
It would be helpful if you could attach a picture to give us a more detailed description of the situation.

When you post the reply, you start from "Reply" in the post that you want reply. You can see the form below pic. Above the "Submit", you can see the clip icon, there is a button to attach a file (include a pics). Maybe that "Select files" or "Choose files". (My mother tongue is not English.)
