How do you know which save files go with which games?

I would like to be able to include a save file with my bug reports going forward but I am very confused as to how they work and I'm scared to break something by messing with it.

I have two saved games right now but I have 12 save files in the folder, half are 0000000d and half are 00000007, I don't know how to know what these are and what saves they go with, I would have thought that there would be one for each save

Also, is there a way to name them the name of the saved game they go with?

  • @Wolfie_GirlXox  When you click Load Game, choose a save and hover over the folder icon that shows up along with the other info about that save.  You'll see the save file name, e.g. Slot_0000000d.save, included in the file path.

@Wolfie_GirlXox  Yes, renaming the file will prevent the game from recognizing the save, unless you keep the proper format.  Each save needs to be labeled Slot_ followed by an eight-digit hexidecimal number, as in, 0 to 9, a to f.  So these are all acceptable names:

    Slot_0000000a.save

    Slot_00000012.save

    Slot_00011111.save

If you name your save something else, it won't load until you change it back to something with the correct format.
