Hey all, here are a few more details on how this works:

Please note: Cross platform DLC compatibility isn't officially supported at this time, so your mileage may vary.

    Epic and EA app:

    • As long as your EA account and Epic account are linked together, you should have access your DLC owned from both Epic and the EA app.

    Steam and Epic:

    • If you are playing through Steam, you will not be able to access DLC owned through Epic.
    • If you play through Epic, you will not be able to access DLC owned through Steam.

    Steam and the EA app:

    • If you purchase DLC through Steam, you will not be able to transfer your DLC to the EA app- you will need to use the base game version in Steam.
    • If your DLC is owned through the EA app, you should have access your DLC through Steam- you will need to own the base game through Steam and be sure your accounts are linked together

Hi, this does not work for me. When I try to launch the game from the EA app after linking my Epic Account, the Sims4 icon is grayed out and it says that it's unavailable because an incompatible Sims is downloaded on my computer, and to uninstall the Steam version. The Sims4 Icon has a tag on the top corner that says that it is "Standard Edition through Epic Games." However, I have the Digital Deluxe Edition through Steam.

When I open the game through Steam or my desktop icon, my EA app now has a colored in icon with a little Steam tag at the top corner. I can launch the game through the EA app when I have this icon. The thing is the three free pack I got through Epic, are not there.

@Barlee89  You can try the following, if you have time:

    • Uninstall the Steam version of Sims 4
    • Install the game through Epic, including your new packs
    • Launch the game once through Epic
    • Uninstall the Epic version
    • Install the Steam version and the packs you own there
    • Download the packs you own in the EA App, which should now include the ones you have from Epic, into the Steam version

Other players have reported this works for them, but I haven't tested myself.

If you have trouble uninstalling the normal way, you can use Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) instead.  But in that case, go into Documents > Electronic Arts and rename the Sims 4 folder inside to something that doesn't include "Sims 4."  This folder contains your saves and other user data, and you don't want Revo finding and deleting it.

  • This.

I have on *Pic Games sims 4 with some dlcs, but ive always played Sims4 on EA Play platform with many others DLCs. Is a way to merge the DLCS i have from the Ep*c version of the game into EA Play platform so i can play with all of them?

  • @frog06  Normally, if you launch Sims 4 from Epic one time, the packs that you own in Epic should be usable in your EA App install.  You might need to download them with Epic, but perhaps not.  I haven't tested myself.

@puzzlezaddict I can confirm that works. You just need to start it from epic first, then uninstall and play from steam. then go to ea app and click on manage addons. Now you will see all steam DLC installed and you can press download to install missing dlcs from epic and ea
