how to play with my friend

Question

My friend and I bought the Sims a few weeks ago when it was on sale but I want to know if it's possible to visit her house? I don't know how to do that. I know her origin username and we're friends on there, but in the actual game I don't know how to find her or become her friend or visit her house and interact with her. Is that even possible? If it's not, then what's the point of having friends on Origin anyway?
