How to put a roof on to the 3rd floor and make the house look like 2 floors?

I am trying to do the Amityville house but when I try to do the 3rd floor like it looks different in this picture.  add a roof the picture has it going through the 3rd floor. But I want to use rooms ...

@tigerrun777The roof over the door can be made by making a box or a small room in front of your door. Make sure you have enough distance to the edge of your lot. Make a ceiling and stack a roof on top of it. Then remove the walls. Do not use the hammer tool, but click the wall and select the option remove wall. That will do the trick.
