I have 2 teen sims in a relationship and one ages up before the other by 2 days?

one of my teen sims ages up to young adult on the calendar 2 days before his girlfriend (which is weird because it means it changed as they were the same day last time i checked), is the game gonna force them to break up because of that time inbetween where one's an adult and the other isn't (because obviously a teenager and an adult can't date eachother)? :( i dont want them to break up

The sims just can't do romantic interactions as far as I am aware until both are young adults. So for the 2 days, they can do friendly and funny interactions instead to keep a positive relationship.

When you age up your sim with a birthday cake, you can either put more candles on the cake after they blow them out to age up, or make a new separate cake for the girlfriend, then when you click on the cake there will be an option to "Age up sim...". As long as the girlfriend is on the lot you can age her up on the same day so they go back to being the same age and don't have to wait a couple days.
