BrinaBish What you have told is to use the recovery option to recover an earlier version of the save that goes back to before you deleted the sim(s). To do that:
Start the game and when you get to the Main Menu then click on the Load Game option below Resume. Once the window opens that shows your saves, select the top save and mouse over to the right. Just before you reach the Play and Delete buttons, a little icon will show up and if you hover over it, it will save recover same. Click that icon and all the versions of that save that you have will show up. If there are none that show up, you can't recover an earlier version, but if there are any saves listings, then click on the top one and then the recover save button. That will create a new save using the earlier version of your save. Then load that and check to see if the sim you deleted is still in the save. If the sim is there, then do a save as. Then play on. If the sim is not there and there are other versions of the save listed when you recovered the first time, you can go back and recover the second save in the list. You can do that up to five times if you need to if you have five choices for that save. If you recover all of them and don't find the sims you deleted when you check in game, then you're out of luck and can't get the sim back unless you have a copy of the sim in your Library.
Hope this helps.
