If I downloa

Hello, I Often Use CC for the Sims 4, I also enjoy sharing my CC lots. I do however use CC that is created by other creators, usually without an issue, however I received a message from a CC creator asking me to remove my DL link from the public from sharing because it "violates HER terms of use". My question is does EA at all back this up legally or is CUSTOM CONTENT, FREE to use and share for anyone to download ???

  • What a ridiculous prospect. CC is created by somebody therefore somebody owns it. If it clearly states where you downloaded it from that you should not be redistributing it then you should not. Stick to Maxis own content if you can't respect the rules of CC.

Considering EA don't particularly encourage use of CC and hide content on the gallery that contain CC I can guarantee you that they're not going to help you.

  • @Nerdologyi Technically ALL CC is free for everyone to use in any way they want. CC/Mod creators are not allowed to charge a fee for their content. It's all to be free. Legally, CC creators can't stop you from doing whatever you want with it.

However, you won't be very popular... to say the least.
