If It's Not One Thing, It's Another . . .

Yesterday, finally, my game was behaving the way it should. My Cantrell family showed Joseph. Sr. and Louise being spouses, instead of cousins. Phew! And she was pregnant with little Adrian. So, can someone please tell me why, when I checked the dynasty tree, Adrian is a half-brother to his older siblings, and he's the son of Louise, yet NOT the son of Joseph. Say, what? Bad enough that when I connected Joseph to his father, King Aaron, I was unable to connect him to his mother. All I got was a blank page on MCCC where the link would be . . .  And this is the newest MCCC, too. I'm thinking I should report it on Deaderpool's Discord. (Or maybe I'll just redownload it.)

Do you ever think the Cosmos is against you?

I'm beginning to wonder. At any rate, today I was ready to play, and things were going along pretty well. I did realize I had still to eliminate the 'other' Joseph, Sr.. I navigated over to Del Sol Valley to their residence and took care of the matter, toot sweet. After, I carefully had him make my Joseph his dynasty heir. (For once I did it before I removed the Sim in question.)

It was after that where Erik seemed to freeze in place, complaining things were in the way when I tried to send him to the photoshoot. I reset him and he still complained. I transported him to just outside the gate, and he still decided it was more prudent to go upstairs for who knows what. I saved and shut down, fixed myself some breakfast and by the time I got back upstairs I removed all of the cache packages and restarted the game. (I know there are about four; cache; onlinesimcache; avatar?cache; and the localthumbcache.pachage.)

Well, Erik seems okay, but his father, the head of the dynasty was still stuck just outside the fence. I sent him to grab a plate of turkey (it's Thanksgiving in my game) and I find him later, in a very bad state, still stuck outside.  Oi! Just when I thought things were going well, too. I really don't wish to start yet again. But these problems make gameplay less than fun. Don't even mention relaxing, it's the exact opposite.

Please advise.
