Is it safe to go to San Myshuno?

I haven’t taken any of my sims to San Myshuno for more than a real life year (except once by accident) for fear of corrupting my saves seeing as the fix for the spawned items bug didn’t truely solve the problem - or am I remembering this wrong?

However, I’m getting tired of saying no to/ignoring every invite my sims get to go to the festivals as I’ve always enjoyed them a lot and really would like to take my sims there again. So to repeat my heading, is it safe to go to San Myshuno?

  • Gyldenloev It's safe to go to San Myshuno.  I never stopped even when problem was active.  It's been fixed for quite a while now.  As far as I know that issue didn't corrupt saves.

    Hope this helps.

  • CGrant56 Thank you for your reply, I’m glad and relieved to hear you haven’t been experiencing any issues 🙂

However according to the bug forum, the fix that was implemented was a non-fix and the recommendation is to take several precautions both when going to one of the festivals and before leaving [Here I tried to share the link to the bug report, but got a message that the link was invalid despite it being part of the forums as well as being accused of either trying to spam the forums or be rude to staff members!!]. Have you been following those in order to avoid issues or have you just been playing the same way as always?

Furthermore, I recently read that there is also an issue where loading into an apartment (maybe also visiting?) can cause the furniture in adjacent apartments to disappear and the lot worth be set to 0.

It just makes me somewhat hesitant about going to festivals as well as visiting friends there.

  • Gyldenloev  I'm aware of both issues as I've had both issues in my game at one time or another.  Both issues have been resolved and neither shows up in my game now.  I continued to play in San Myshuno and other worlds while both issues were present.  My save did not get corrupted by either issue.   I even went to the festivals but tbh, they were a bit difficult to play since the extra objects blocked some other objects.  The furniture issue was fairly easy to fix too.  All you had to do is enter an apartment and add something.  That gave the apartment a value above zero and then move a sim in.  After a while, the value of the apartment contents corrected itself.   I did that will all my apartments it happened to and haven't had it happen again since.

    Hope this helps.
