Is there a setting to disable crushes in HSY ?

If I disable NPC autonomy in pack settings, will the sims stop evolving crushes? Or does that only affect the questions of whether you want to be best friends or go to prom?

Please tell me there is a way to disable crushes.

I am not only frustrated but also angry.

I don't want my sim (who is in a committed relationship) to have a crush on every sim he introduces himself to in a FRIENDLY  way.

The bad thing is that "get over crush" doesn't really work. It tells me that my sim has successfully overcome the crush, the sentiment is gone too, but the person is still in the "crushes list". It won't go away on its own.

This bothers me, I don't want my sim in a committed relationship to have any other sims listed as crushes. Please till me there is some way to get rid of them.

  • @Shareliara   Hi!  Yes, if you disable the NPC Relationship Autonomy in the HSY pack settings, then your sims should no longer develop crushes.  I have the setting disabled because I got tired of the Bestie requests every few minutes and my sims have not developed any crushes.  Just know that I feel your pain and I hope this helps!

@ShareliaraYou can also use UI Cheats Extension to remove the current crushes in the sims' profile panels by right clicking on the crush sentiment while doing what @JonaO703 suggested to prevent future occurrences for your current save file.

This is a script mod, however, and will only work for those on PC.

  • I have added Lovestruck to my game and the crushes are out of control. The instructions I have seen here don't seem to apply (the HSY settings don't exist except for acne) and I have tried the cheat: modifyrelationship [Sim1FirstName] [Sim1LastName] [Sim2FirstName] [Sim2LastName] -100 sentimenttrack_crush_lt_generic and that isn't working either. I have two teenage girls rooming together, that didn't even like each other, but they are alternately angry or stressed being in the presence of their 'crush'. I had this happen in another save and even moving one out and them never meeting again didn't stop the crush, even when aged to elderly. They just sit and moon about them.

  • ok, I seem to have fixed it with 'disable attraction' for each Sim. They have stopped crushing and it seems to be holding. Thanks
