Is there a way to cancel scholarships?

My sim just started university and before I got him to apply for as many scholarships as possible. Unfortunately I didn't realise that if he got the athletics scholarship he's automatically quit his level 10 job to be in the soccer team. I have a save from before he enrolled, but not before the got the scholarship. Is there a way to cancel it, either legitimately or through cheats/mods?
