Issues with Foundations in Sims 4 Build Mode

I have looked up how to put a foundation onto a house I am building, and what I have looked at says there should be a slider when you click on the foundations image and you should get a slider to raise the house, but the slider is completely absent when I look for it in my game.  Any clue how to fix this?

I attached a screenshot from my game (Screenshot 10) and a screenshot (Screenshot 12) from a website I found (https://simsvip.com/the-sims-4-building-guide/#Foundations) to help visualize it.

  • @oc8989 In Build Mode, click on one of the rooms in your house. You'll see a two-sided up/down arrow near the center of the room that will allow you to raise or lower the level of the floor. Drag up on the arrow to raise the floor or drag it down to lower the floor. The height of the foundations, and any exterior stairs you have attached, will change with the height of the floor.

Btw- I checked the Build Guide you linked. SimsVIP is a very good site but that part of the guide looks outdated. There is no longer a slider in the foundation tab. Try using the up/down arrow like the one in this pic. If the level of your house is flat on the ground, just drag up on the arrow and foundations will appear. Then you can use that foundations tab to change the foundation textures and colors. Hopefully this works for you and your game is fine, nothing to fix.

Good luck I hope this helps :D
