it says that i dont have beds but i have more than enough beds to get a roommate

The Game Says That I Dont Have Beds To Get More Roommates But I Have 15 More Beds And It Still Says That I Dont Have Enough Beds And There´s Only 1 Sim In My Family.

    @adhamturista Can you please try the following so we can check if the CC is effecting this issue?

    • Exit your game.
    • Move your Mods folder to your desktop. (Do not delete it – save this for later.)
    • Restart the game so that it will recreate a new, fresh Mods folder. Do not re-add your Mods/CC, but instead enter the game and begin a new, vanilla (no Mods/CC) game. Enter that new, vanilla game-save to confirm if the issues are gone. Now exit your game.

    If that fixed the issue, now you need to troubleshoot your Mods/CC to find which Mods/CC are causing the issue. Use the 50/50 method as follows:

    • Divide your Mods/CC from the folder on your desktop in half.
    • Add one of the halves back into the game’s Mods folder. Now re-start the game and see if the issue is still gone in the vanilla/new game-save you made.
    • If the issue did not re-appear with those added Mods/CC you can try adding the 2nd half from the desktop. If the issues did re-appear, try only adding half of those mods and see if the issue is present in the game...
    • Continue in this pattern dividing the folders’ contents in half then half again as needed to eliminate in groupings which Mods/CC are causing the issue.

    Once you find the Mods/CC that are causing the issues, check with the Mod/CC creators for updates that may fix the issues. Note: Do not re-add the old config file from the old mods folder, as it is possible for it to have become corrupted also.

    @adhamturista, the counting is a little weird on this. You need to have a bed per person (even if you have 2 married Sims, they each need their own bed) , plus any toddlers or pets or Butlers you have each need their own adult bed … and then you need the extra bed(s) for any roommates. 😞  Here is a Bug Report on this topic. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-DU-CD-Room-Mate-Ad-Available-Beds-not-properly-counting/td-p/8451286

    The good news is that you can delete some of the beds once you assign all the new roommates to their beds (so you can get rid of any for pets, toddlers, and the extra beds if you have couples that would normally sleep in one bed).  🙂

    And hopefully they will fix this bug soon! 🤞

    @adhamturista  I would only add to what PugLove888 already said to make sure that all those beds are single beds for adults! The game doesn't seem to properly count double-beds. I make a separate room in the basement (doesn't even have to be connected to the rest of the house) where I store all those extra beds.

     @adhamturista I used a duplex/house (not a dorm) and roommates.

    In my household with a family of 5 sims with 2 dogs + 3 roommates + a butler... that I did have to add enough beds to also account for the two dogs and all family members (including a baby and a toddler - the bassinet and the toddler bed don't count toward this) & the butler in order to run the ad for roommate each time I wanted to add a roommate(s), but it is not necessary to keep all of those beds once the roommates all have a bed assigned to them. Also...

    • A double bed will count for two sims only if it has been assigned to two sims successfully (hover over the bed to confirm who it is assigned to).
    • Assign a bed in the house to each child, butler, teen & adult.
    • By default, the game will assign one sim to a double bed unless you assign the other side. Remember that a sim will not share a bed with another sim unless the relationship is very high.
    • Watch for the bed assignments whenever you have a household change (add, remove a sim - including roomies, pets, & butlers). The game will re-shuffle some or all of the sim bed assignments every time there is a change like this in the household. Re check after any change.
    • Watch out for assigning a bed and it doesn't take. Sometimes I have had to assign the bed several times before it took. run the game after assigning a couple of sim minutes for the assignment to take (maybe), then pause and hover over the bed to confirm it shows the bed assigned per side of the bed as you assigned it.

    To keep the roomies you should also make sure they have a bed assigned, a dresser, desk and bedside table to put their crap on (with free space on top of them) or they will be unhappy. Thank them when they help out, make and serve food, and they love coffee makers. Good luck! 🙌

    PugLove i saw that post and that isnt my problem so i created a 4 story building and i have triple the beds that i need all of them single beds and i only have 1 sim no pets and 8 roommates and i have more than the triple of the beds that i need but the game says i dont enough beds even when i have much more more than enough and i already have bed assigned to my sim.

    @adhamturista Do you have Mods or CC? Do you have any Servos? I was just thinking that you may need a bed for them for the ad also since they are considered as a member of the household. I would recommend that you add your information to this bug report on the subject, as yours seems a bit different than the issues I read that others are having, so the information may be useful for that purpose when the gurus are working on a fix.     yeah i have a servo but it has a bed. yes i have a lot of cc and complementing i have all the dlcs and the latest version. (I am not a native english speaker that´s why may be some errors)

    Hey.

    I found out that pets count towards the bed use. I have two cats in addition to my sim, and apparently i need a full bed for each of them. -_-
