Journey to Batuu - X-Wing "Rescue Mission"

I'm trying to finish the Resistance mission, and the only thing left to do is "Fly Rescue Mission". There is a new option to "Fly Mission" on the X-Wing at the Resistance Base, but my Sim just gets in the X-Wing and sits there until she automatically goes off to do something random. I don't have any mods, and my game is fully updated. I had her go to another neighborhood and come back, I even ended the vacation and started a new vacation to see if there just needed to be a "reset" so to speak.

I saw another thread on this issue that was locked 5 months ago and wanted to say something to maybe get some traction on getting this fixed. The entire Resistance storyline isn't playable anymore and I'm so upset. Is there anything I can do to get it to work? Has anyone gotten it to work, maybe by quitting the mission and trying again? Looking for any hope here.
