Lady Ravendancers tarot deck not working

The tarot interactions only show up for the sim who assembled the deck. I had my sim collect all the cards and make Ravendancers tarot deck. After it was completed I gave the deck to another sim. The sim who didn't collect the cards can't do any tarot interactions, the simply don't show up. I event gave it back to the first and her give it to another sim as an heirloom and no change. It makes no sense for the deck to not work for other sims.

Just discovered this today when the grandmother in my legacy save died and passed the tarot deck down as an heirloom. No options to use it appeared. I sent the sim that inherited the deck to read the tarot shrine, thinking that might make it acknowledge I had the complete deck, but it’s just gave me the first card and set off the quest chain to complete the deck. Essentially, once the sim that created the deck dies, that deck is worthless. Now I think this is terrible gameplay, because of course a spellcasting tarot reading medium would pass her tools down to the next interested younger relative, but I suspect this is working as they intended. If you want the fancy deck for a sim, you’ll have to work for it every time. I won’t be, because it takes too much time, so I’ll just use the basic one, or maybe I cheat myself enough aspiration points to buy the fancy one with. But it won’t be the deck the grandmother used, and it won’t be an heirloom, so it sorta ruined my story a bit. Pretty disappointing.

  • Same situation for me. The deck was passed down as an heirloom and there are no interactions for the new owner.

ZeroTodoroki OrbiZart Verittheferret  I believe OrbiZart is correct that, by design, the deck only has the extra options for the sim who assembled it.  The cards and deck are more or less considered a personal item rather than a household item imo.  The card collection works a little bit differently from the other collections too since the individual cards disappear when you build the deck.

    Hope this helps.
