Leaving lot with 1 sim and keeping the others at home

Every time i let my sim go to sleep at night and i leave the lot to do something , all of a sudden my sims up doing their own thing and their needs low and i be concern about my toddler because i cannot have another sim take care of the careless toddler nor infant if im playing with a sim i left the lot with and sometimes their needs get low when i just leave the lot after filling it up. If that can be fixed, that will be so helpful. & Also everytime i visit a sim, they always have to be outside instead of in the house doing stuff and actually it will be so nice for them to greet me to come in at the door personally.
