Lifespan Update to The Sims 4

Update to the Lifespans in the Sims 4.

  • The Sims 3 lifespan setting were much better than the Sims 4 current options. The option of having medium and epic was a game changer for many simmers who don't want to be spending 364 days with one sim especially when having toddlers which makes the day seem longer when trying to look after them, your employment etc.
  • In the The Sims 4, there should be an epic lifespan where the current 'Long' lifespan averaging of 364+ days of life is retitled to 'Epic'. The long lifespan should then be replaced with the Sims 3 'Long' lifespan where you can be a total of 190+ alive and 90 of those days are spent in adulthood (young adult and adult)
  • I and many simmers think that this should be taken into consideration due to players having to differ their choices on what lifespan to use during their gameplay. I personally cannot decided what to use because I do not want to be in my adulthood for 180+ using the Long lifespan in Sims 4 or using the normal lifespan having 50+ days in adulthood.
  • I think having the 'in-between' lifespan on The Sims 3 'Long' lifespan in Sims 4 is the perfect feature to bring into a 'Small Update'.
  • Many simmers will be happy with this update and it shouldn't be a problem to make, considering past Sims games could have this.
  • A screenshot of the Sims 3 and 4 lifespans are linked.

Please remember that you can turn off aging altogether and thus decide for yourself just how long a lifespan should be. When you are ready simply use a cake to age up.

  • Personally I like my sims to age up whenever they're ready so all my ages match and nothing needs to be calculated.
